curriculum vitae
Based in Northern California's Bay Area, I hold a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and a Master of Arts in Industrial Design. My professional focus includes mechanical design, prototyping validation, and maintaining CAD structures for seamless team collaboration.
At HatchDuo, I focused on preparing products for manufacturing using SolidWorks, collaborating closely with the principal mechanical engineer and industrial designers, prioritizing the aesthetic design. Throughout the design cycles, I validated decisions through prototyping from low to high fidelity models.
At iFixit, I specialize as a CAD Designer using Autodesk Inventor to create detailed designs across diverse projects. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, I ensure designs meet both aesthetic and functional standards, all while maintaining repairability. Responsibilities include restructuring and managing CAD files to enhance team workflows.
A notable achievement includes co-inventing the patent US-11883933-B1 "Screw-driven spreading tool with a disengage, alongside pending patents and ongoing developments, highlighting my problem-solving abilities. I also contributed to designing for a renowned family-name brand as well as in developing hardware for one of the latest beauty tech innovations that achieved positive reviews from multiple major beauty publications and websites.
My academic background provided a foundation in technical skills, complemented by creative insights from my Master’s in Industrial Design. Proficient in Autodesk Inventor and SolidWorks, I thrive in 3D modeling and prototyping.
Beyond technical expertise, I prioritize design aesthetics while ensuring product functionality. Trusted with independent project leadership, I navigate challenges in Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA), ensuring designs align with product requirements and overcoming potential obstacles.
