I inherited the FixHub project in its early stages, originally modeled in SolidWorks.
My first task was to translate and rebuild the design using the team’s preferred software (Inventor), optimizing the CAD model for easy collaboration and future iterations.
As the project progressed, I drove 80% of the mechanical design efforts, ensuring all parts were ready for manufacturing and assembly, by meeting standards for plastic-injection molded parts and CNC-machined metal components.
I worked closely with the lead product development engineer and continuously collaborated with the electrical engineering team, implementing changes to accommodate new components and improve functionality, based on prototype validation. All design decisions were customer focused, ensuring repairability as the company promotes.
